What's that white stuff??

I've been gone since last Sunday so I've been feeling a bit out of touch.  After you are on the road for a few days, you kind of lose track as to what day it actually is...  I got home on Thursday and unfortunately came home to a very very sick Molly.  Mike took her to the vet Thursday night right before I got home.  She was badly dehydrated and not eating.  After an iv with meds, couple of days of additional meds, and hand feeding her scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese, she's starting to perk up again.  Poor thing.  You could tell she really didn't feel well.  She stuck her head under my arm and just stayed there snuggling with me for awhile.
mother!  I'm so glad you are home!
I'm pretty sure Molly didn't eat at all while I was gone.  But I'm home now and she's perking up and eating better.  She certainly is showing an appetite now so that's great.  We think she started with an upper respiratory and ended up with some swollen glands and a sinus infection.  So with the weather getting cold now, Molly is grounded to the tack room until she finishes her medication and is back to normal.

I'm not sure what all this white stuff is that we got on Saturday but whatever it is...  I'm not ready mentally for it to be winter.  Summer went by too fast...  I feel like I missed it!  I don't think Rasmus is ready for the snow yet either!
What is that stuff??  It looks scary!  I'm staying in here!
Okay, I'll come out.  Mother might have a treat for me!
Mike gave me my Christmas present early so now I have a large fenced in pen for Oscar to run in as well.  Oscar needs room....  lots of room...  The kitchen seems to be shrinking around him.  :-)  ha ha.
Oscar and Rasmus
The horses are content.  They just got their first round bale of the year.  Nothing like eating all day...  every day...  and never looking up.  :-)
Meanwhile, in the house, a few of us are living the cushy life....  Apple found her pillow that I think I hid from her quite awhile ago, so she was happy as heck to get it back!!
Oh pillow!  I've missed you so!

Dora better not touch my pillow!
Other individuals decided the couch looked like a good place.
Eventually Apple abandoned her favorite pillow for the couch as well...
If I don't look at her maybe she won't notice I'm here!
Not me..  I've been cleaning all day.  Felt like Cinderella scrubbing the kitchen floor.  :-)  But alas, no forest creatures made me a dress for the ball...  So I decided to finish the laundry instead.  It's been a nice relaxing day.  I guess it isn't so bad to get a little snow and get the house picked up after being gone for a week.  Stay warm!  Get some of that Christmas shopping done!
