It's finally Fall :-)

After the summer like warm days we've had recently I've been wondering when the fall chill was going to come.  Seems like the fall is finally starting to get a hold over us.  There is nothing like the smell in the air when it's fall.  The weather today is crisp, clear, and that wonderful fall weather that I love.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  And today is one of those days.  The golden leaves are falling lightly from the trees.  Some of the trees are getting pretty bare by now.  Looking back it's been a wonderful summer.  Oscar and I had our first dog shows, we had our first litter of mastiff puppies, I made some new friends, I reached out to some old friends (thank you daughters for encouraging me to do so..).  It's been a good summer...

The mums are still beautiful but since it's been so warm, I still have a few summer flowers trying their best to hang on with all they have.  These look like my last two troopers who made it through this October.  But sadly in a few days, they will be gone as well.

It's always a sure sign of fall when you notice the animals getting ready for the soon approaching cold and snow.  You can no longer deny the time is finally upon us when this happens..  The winter coats are growing in..  Cats, horses, dogs...  everyone is gearing up for the change of seasons..

This will be pork chop's first winter!
This will be yellow kitty's first winter too!

Black Jack happy Halloween is coming!
Again, this will be ghost kitty's first winter as well.
Even Dyna and Harley have lost their cute little summer haircuts and are really growing the winter coats back on.  They hardly look like the same dogs from summer to winter.  Dyna and Harley are both in their senior years and don't tolerate the cold quite so well anymore.  The winters get long especially for Dyna so I'm sure they are enjoying this time before the snow comes again.
Rasmus says, I remember when the snow was this deep last winter!!

Some of us already wore ourself out running and playing in the leaves...

The Pumpkins are patiently waiting to get their faces and become jack-o-lanterns...  Next weekend my pumpkin friends.  The girls will be here and you'll get your scary faces just in time for the last week of Halloween Season..  Patience my friends...  patience.  :-)
I want triangle eyes!  :-)
