We jumped into the car at 4:00 a.m. to hit the road for another 3 hour drive. We were heading to Tallmadge Ohio for Oscar's first show with the Priest's. The competition was stiff! There were other Beowulf dogs and a Lazy D dog... I was more nervous than Oscar was!
Here Oscar and Camron practice a bit before getting into the ring.
Before Oscar went in the ring.. Tiffany, Oscar's new girlfried got a little show action in too..
Finally it was Oscar's turn! I was so nervous I thought I was going to toss my cookies! It's so hard to watch and not be in the ring with him! But Oscar did great and beat some big name dogs to take the 12 to 18 month age group. We were so excited! He did fantastic for Camron! When the judge pulled Oscar out of the group I just about jumped out of my skin!!
I felt really good! Camron told me I had done a good job with my training of Oscar. That made me feel like my hard work this last year had really paid off! Oscar didn't make it to best of breed but that's okay. He beat some really tough dogs so I'm confident Oscar is going to have a great summer!!
It made me anxious to get back to working on Ava. Ava's hot spots are healing quickly so hopefully Mid June we will be showing her somewhere. :-)
