Welcome to our Ranch! Nothing much to do around here but feed animals and scoop stuff if you know what I mean!

Weekend with Kasey! :-)

Last week, both Kasey and Kelsey finished their summer research jobs at North Dakota State University.  Kelsey went on another college visit to Palmer College while Kasey came down to visit us for the weekend.  Here's a picture of Kelsey and Kasey and their research presentation ending their work for the summer.
Kelsey and Kasey
Unfortunately Oscar was a bit under the weather so we had to forego our planned dog show this weekend...  (more in September)..  So Gma Helen wanted to go to the Marcus Fair.  The Marcus Fair is super small but I did have the opportunity to have a pretty good Coney so I guess it was worth it.  Plus I think my mom really enjoyed herself so it was good.  Mom and I also got a couple magical magnetic ankle bracelets that are supposed to cure all!  I'm excited to try it.  I wonder if my new magical magnetic ankle bracelet can help keep me from falling off my horse next week in Nebraska.  We will have to see!  I'll let you know.  ha ha...
Here's a picture of my mom and dad at the fair.
We walked around (briefly :-) looking at all the displays.  Unfortunately all the livestock was gone so no animals to look at.  We did watch a show called the "Westernaires"...  A bunch of high school kids doing horse drills.  It brought back a lot of Cavaliers memories for me.  It was fun and the evening was beautiful.
Today I'll probably take Kasey shopping for school supplies and clothes.  Kasey did get to spend some quality time with Oscar.  Oscar LOVES Kasey and won't leave her alone.  He even tried to help her put on her running shoes.

Kasey is on the Concordia cross country team this year so she did a couple of runs this weekend while she was here.  Here she is coming back from one of those runs.  Kasey will be moving into her college apartment soon so then I won't see her for awhile.  :-(
Enjoy the beautiful weather.  Feels like we are heading into fall already.  I'm sure it will get hot again but sure love these 70 degree days and 60 degree nights....  Til next week!
