Where have you been! :-(

Yes, I've been gone for the last week.  I had an opportunity to travel to West Michigan to the Herman Miller locations which I loved!  But alas, a few individuals were annoyed with me that I was absent for a week.
Where have you been!!  I was so worried!
I was surprised when I returned home, Mike had really gone to town on the bathroom.  The tile is in and I'll have to get some pictures of the beautiful grouting he did...  But here's what the bathroom looked like right before I left and now the floor is complete!  It looks gorgeous!
Instead of working on the bathroom today, Molly's delivery date looms in the near future so we spent some time strategizing on where we are going to put her and her bundles of joy!  We guess she's about 2 weeks away.  It was a nice day outside so we spent some time and got the plan worked out and Mike got the whelping box on order.  Molly is really showing now.  She changed a lot in a week.  She's a touch moody now and impatient with Oscar and Rasmus so we are getting close.
Mr. Bitey even blessed us with his appearance today.  Mr. Bitey isn't the most friendly of creatures...
The other animals were enjoying the nice weather today.  Harley looks like the king of the jungle with all of his hair.  His coat is beautiful but it all comes off in May otherwise the Aussies are so hot and miserable all summer.
I can't believe how much Oscar grew in a week.  He's now up to 36 lbs.  I swear he was only 26 a week and a half ago!  No kidding!  He sure is growing fast and he sure is a sweetheart.  He LOVES it out in the barn with the big dogs but he still spends a lot of time in the house with us.
We have discovered that Mr. Prima Donna loves to be pampered as well.  He loves the bath and getting brushed.  Unlike everyone else who HATE their bathes, bath time with Oscar is a pleasure!  I can't imagine fighting with him for a bath when he gets up to 200 lbs!  Yikes!
ahhh!!  lower!!
So ends another week at the Johnson Ranch.  Back to work tomorrow!

My name is "No-No!"

Oscar is almost 11 weeks old now.  He has changed so much this last week.  He is starting to gain some length in his legs now...  Getting taller and lankier.  He's so funny.  He is starting to learn what "No" means...  Sometimes I say "No" a lot!
Did you say "No?"
But he's still looking like an amazing dog.  We keep working with him and expose him to lots of different situations so he's ready to go out and see the world when the time comes.  I'm patiently waiting for the Kennel Club to start meeting so Oscar and I can begin attending.  A puppy obedience class is at the very top of the list!  Right Mr. No-No??!!
But until puppy obedience begins we keep practicing!
"Can you believe what this annoying lady makes me do?"

Minnesota State Basketball Tournament

We made a road trip up to the cities today to see Karley play in the Minnesota State Basketball Tournament.  We got there at 11:30 a.m. and the game started at noon.  It was a beautiful day and the Williams Arena is such a cool place to watch a game.
The first half was very exciting and tied at the end of the half but unfortunately, in the second half the 4th seed team bested the mighty Grand Rapids Thunderhawks..  So unfortunately, Karley's team didn't get to go on, but it was fun to watch and Mike and I got a hug from Karl so it was a great day!  :-)  Mike and I are super proud that she and her team made it that far and what an accomplishment for her to play in the Williams Arena!
Karley is # 13
Then, as Mike and I were leaving, we noticed that the U of M was using our images on some posters they had outside the Arena.  We are considering a lawsuit.  You look and judge for yourself.  ;-)
Mike takes on the whole Gopher Wrestling Team!
Bet you didn't know I was a gymnast..  Obviously NOT!

I'm how old?

"What??  I'm two years old?  OMGosh!
We went to Drakes Birthday Party #2 last night.  This picture makes me laugh.  It reminds me of the old "Home Alone" pics.  :-)  It was a fun night and there was a lot of excitement and screaming!  I think Drake really liked all of his toys.  Here are some pics from the party..
Yay!  A Grain Cart!
Need any welding done?
As Drake turns two, our new little guy turns 10 weeks.  Oscar was 10 weeks old today.  He's had a big week.  We went for our first walk which was interesting.  :-)  He is really growing.  Puppies grow like horses, they change week to week when they are young.  It seems like Oscar really added some length this week.
He even asked to go outside to potty three different times today.  He's no dummy...  Outside + Potty = Treat!  He's turning into a real treat monger!  :-)  But that's okay.  And he's still trying to win over Dora but I think he still has a ways to go there....
Please be my friend...  Please?!?

What a face!

Well, one week ago tonight we brought Mr. Oscar home from the airport.  What a wonderful puppy.  I can't believe how cute the little fart is and what a personality!!  Dora and Apple (and Mike and I) are adjusting too and we are developing a sense of normal again.  :-)  He's almost 10 weeks old now and 22 lbs.  Here are a few cute pictures that Mike took last night....

Playing Pretend Dog Show!
Tired after Pretend Dog show...Need belly rub...

He looks like he is listening but really isn't.  :-)

The Tile Master

The tiling has begun!  Yes, Mike and I went and picked out our tile and he finally got to the point where he could get started!  He spent the entire weekend sweating and I heard a lot of colorful words coming from the small bathroom but ultimately, his hard work paid off.  Here is how it's looking at the moment.  He is about 1/2 done and looks fantastic.  I can't wait to start painting!
It's beautiful!  Love the color and can't wait to see what the floor will look like.  Maybe Mike has found his second profession?  He has a talent!

Oscar arrives in Iowa

Well, after an unfortunate Delta incident in Columbus Ohio, Oscar has finally made it home.  He finally got off the plane in Sioux City at 7:00 on Thursday night March 3rd.  He looked a little dis-oriented at first and wasn't sure what the heck was going on.
But he soon warmed up and we found out quickly how busy Oscar is.  Busy Busy Busy!!  Always something to do!
So the last couple of days we've been chasing little Oscar around.  I say little but not really.  He had his first Vet Check up and at 9 weeks he weighs in at a whopping 22 lbs.  Apple and Dora are split on Oscar.  Apple has a new wrestling buddy.  Here's when Apple and Oscar met for the first time.
What are you?
Dora isn't so fond of Oscar though and I think it's pretty safe to say that Dora is royally ticked off at me.  Check out the daggers she throwing at me in this picture!!  If a glare could say a thousand words, this glare would have a few four letter words thrown in!  ha ha.  Oh Dora...  Gotta love the old crank!  :-)
"Mother...  I hate you for doing this to me..."
So Oscar is finally home and a real cutey.  He's got a lot to get used to...  Always lots of activities around here.  But I'm sure he'll fit in just fine!
Always a big smile!  :-)
In the meantime, we did get some great news...  Molly our female Mastiff had an ultrasound today and is expecting her first litter of puppies at the beginning of April.  We are really excited!
Molly
Have a great week!
